Although RISHOCAST instrument transformers are very reliable with windings insulated with epoxy resin by vacuum casting method, for your safety use,please be certain to read the followings and use our products correctly. When using it in the wrong way, it could lead to electric shock or fire.

lt could lead to electric shock.Do not install the CTs or VTs on hot line.
Do not make the secondary of Current Transformer (CT) open.lt could lead to fire or dielectric breakdown. When the secondary is open with the primary being live, high voltage will occur at the secondary.
Do not make the secondary of Voltage Transformer (VT) short-circuit.lt could lead to fire or dielectric breakdown. When the secondary of VTs is short-circuited or short-circuited with low impedance,excessive current flows on the windings and dielectric breakdown or short-circuit of the primary will occur. Generally,when the secondary of VTs is short-circuted、fuse at the primary will not work. The purpose of fuse is to protect the circuit when some malfunction occurs at the primary.
Tighten terminal screws with proper tools and appropriate torque.Too tight torque might damage the terminals and causes malfunctions or fire. Please refer to here (CTs) and there (VTs)
